Moving FAQ's
Where is the new location?
Starting March 22, we will be permanently worshipping at Urban Alliance (UA), located at 1009 Stockbridge in the Edison neighborhood.

Why are we moving to Urban Alliance?
The new space offers a beautiful, acoustically rich sanctuary and excellent facilities for our kids and youth, including a gym and uncluttered classrooms. It is also a simpler, more cost-effective option that aligns perfectly with our long-term mission and vision for the Edison neighborhood.

When is the last service at our current building?
Our final full service at 2031 E. Cork will be on Sunday, March 8. On Sunday, March 15, we will
meet at the Cork Street location one last time for a brief service of thanksgiving before moving t
o the new space.

How can I help with the move?
There are several ways to get involved:
-
Pew Removal: We need help removing pews at the new location starting in early March to make room for our chairs.
-
Moving Day (March 14): Join us for our "moving truck" weekend to help transport items from Cork Street and set up our sound and A/V equipment at UA.
-
The Caravan (March 15): After our brief morning service at the old building, we will caravan to UA for a potluck lunch and work together to finish the move-in. Childcare will be provided after lunch for those staying to help.
-
Transition Team: If you’d like to help facilitate the logistics of these changes, please let the leadership team know.

What if I have questions or just want to talk about the move?
Change can bring up many different emotions, and we want to hold space for that. The pastoral team and board of directors will be available to facilitate conversation and answer questions after our worship gatherings on March 1, 8, and 22.

Will there be enough room for everyone?
Yes! While we initially thought the space might be too small, we have found that once the pews are replaced with chairs, the sanctuary can comfortably accommodate our congregation with plenty of room to grow.
