My husband Anthony and I started coming to Threads in 2021 because of the openly affirming community. I am a third grade teacher who also enjoys cooking and yoga.

Hello! I’m a social worker and music instructor. I live in the Edison neighborhood with my wife, Katie. I like Lego, disc golf and movies.

I enjoy going on adventures outdoors with my wife, Kara. Together we like to explore lakes and rivers on our paddle boards, hike through the woods, climb up rocks, and watch sunsets over Lake Michigan.
Deryl Garland
Hi, I’m Deryl. I’m married to Courtney and father to enough kids that people count when we show up. Most of my time is spent raising children and chickens. I also like to squeeze in some table top gaming or play hockey whenever possible.

I'm a mom of two young adults, and I find joy in moments of genuine community, when God's Shalom shines, and in tending my garden.
James Phillips
I’m James! I am a teacher in Portage and attend Threads with my wife Kelli, our daughter Adori, and our foster children. My favorite things are reading, pizza, and playing couch co-op video games!
