Can you imagine caring for the poor as "normal" life for a Christ follower? Instead of talking about the poor, or soothing our conscience with giving money, why not serve them? Jesus said that those who personally gave the cup of cold water to the "least of these" had really given it to Him. It wasn't those who wrote a check, or those who held conferences on the subject.
At Threads, we are at the beginning of a revolution. Thru growing partnerships, we are at the front edge of transforming our city. Block at a time, we are seeking to build community, breaking down the walls of race and economy. We are committed to joining God in restoring shalom in our city, to the people whose needs are not being met.
