A couple years ago, our elders began listening within our body. What would be our dreams for the future? During ongoing conversation, prayer and reflection, we identified critical next steps for living out the dreams God has given us. Through this process we have found dreams for His kingdom that are Beyond Us. We wish to invite you to pray for the following next steps...

Beyond Us - Leadership Goal

We are committed to reproducing leaders. That's why a critical focus for our leadership staff is to develop emerging leaders.

Our Elder team has identified several staff leadership roles that are critical for deepening and taking our next steps as Threads. Our goal is to raise the funds needed

for two years of resources for additional staff.

Beyond Us - Launch Goal 

We embrace the call of reproducing for Christ's Kingdom. We believe through launching new sites, we will be able to radically reach hundreds more people with the hope & peace that Jesus brings. Our dream is to launch two new sites in the next three years.

(We are already being approached by people outside of Kalamazoo to launch sites in their area.)

God has taught us a lot through planting our last two churches. Just like in the book of Acts, what we have seen @ Threads can be reproduced again and again. God delights in taking something small and doing things Beyond Us. We can't even dream of the lives that will be changed.

Beyond Us - Location Goal 

God has always provided for Threads when we have taken risks that were Beyond Us. When we moved to our current facility, we knew it would be a great bridge to our next steps.

While reaching others through launching additional Threads' sites, our mission in the Kalamazoo area is unchanged. Christ still calls us to reach out to our culture with the life changing reality of Christ and His good news.

During our next steps, we will maximize our current facility @ 3600 W. Milham. However, to prepare for the future here in Kalamazoo, our elders have determined we need to begin saving now for wherever God would lead us in the coming months. 

Here is what we are asking of you:

  • PRAY - Pray for our city, our church, and our church leadership.

  • PARTICIPATE - A vibrant, growing faith community is never built on good intentions. We want to encourage you to commit to Christ's mission. Are you sharing life with other Christ followers? Are you serving those around you for whom Christ gave his life?

  • CONSIDER - Meeting these challenges will take sacrifice. Our total goal for these Beyond Us steps is $750,000 over the next three years. This will be above and beyond our current giving at threads. Consider what financial commitment you see God leading you to make.
