Flu Season Wellness Policy

Here at Threads, we are committed to “Loving God and Loving Others.” One way we can live this out during this cold and flu season is to follow some basic guidelines to keep the spread of germs to a minimum. With a community of our size, including lots of kiddos, we are committed to taking steps to “love each other” by protecting against illness.

Below is a list of basic guidelines and steps we can all take to share the love, and not the germs!

  • If you or your family members are sick, please stay home. Fever is one of the earliest indicators of the flu – if you have a fever, stay home. We’ll miss you, but we will be glad to have you back when you’re all better! You can “virtually” participate in our Worship Gatherings via our website by downloading the Spiritual Talks, keeping up with the Latest Events, and utilizing our secure Online Giving.
  • Clean Hands – Hand sanitizers are being installed throughout the building for your convenience. It is recommended that everyone use these upon arriving at the church building.
  • Remember to cough/sneeze into your sleeve, not hands. Also, facial tissue will be more readily available throughout the building for everyone’s use.
  • We encourage you to bring your own Bible and pen to Worship Gatherings. We will not be providing these items at this time. If you would like a Bible and don’t have one, please accept one as our gift to you!! You can take one from the Celebrate info tower in the Front Porch.
  • Our cleaning crew is taking extra steps to sanitize “highly-handled” surfaces throughout the building such as offices, classrooms, door handles, etc.
  • If – worst case scenario – there is an actual pandemic in the city, we may have to cancel Worship Gatherings for a given Sunday. Cancellations would be communicated in the same way as if there was inclement weather: Threads website, Channel 3 website and tv, office voicemail and signage on the doors of the building.
  • For families with kids ages 5th grade and under, check out the Kids’ Community Sickness Policy at your child’s check-in area or online. We are taking extra measures for cleanliness and minimizing the spread of germs in our Kids’ Community spaces, as well.

Thanks for your cooperation!
